A spring thunderstorm had just ended in Manhattan, leaving the streets shiny and reflecting the lights of the nearby neighborhood. Even though it was late and the streets were empty from the storm, the lights and reflections emphasized the vitality of Hell’s Kitchen
The Cathedral of Milan took over 600 years to built and combines several styles, most notably the Perpendicular and Flamboyant. John Ruskin described it as stealing from and spoiling every gothic style. Nonetheless, at night, from the city's main piazza the many spires create a pattern that fascinates me every time I see it, especially at night.
